Lost Animal preview new material from impending third album w Eggy and Solo Career.
For the past few years or more, Jarrod Quarrell has been quietly making the long anticipated third Lost Animal album with renowned producer, and now Lost Animal band member and co writer, Dan Luscombe. The first two Lost Animal albums; Ex Tropical (2011) and You Yang (2016) remain seminal albums in the International underground, while Jarrod has gone on to be regarded as one of the most singular songwriters in the country with cover versions of the Ex Tropical track ‘Lose The Baby’ now numbering in their teens.
On Friday July 18, nine years since the release of You Yang and after an extended hiatus, Lost Animal return as a live three piece with Zak Olsen ( Traffik Island, Orb, Frowning Clouds) on live bass, and auxiliary instruments, joining Jarrod and Dan to debut a large chunk of the new album.
Joining Lost Animal on the night are the cinematic Melbourne five piece Eggy, newly returned from shows in the UK and the release of their third album ‘From Time To Time’, and Solo Career, the solo outfit of Body Type lead shredder, Annabel Blackman, who releases her first album ‘Interior Delirium’ via Dinosaur City in July.
