Station Model Violence launch debut LP of psychedelic post punk in Melbourne.
Released via Anti Fade Records and freshly named 3RRR Album Of The Week, the self-titled debut captures the restless energy of a six-piece post-punk outfit drawing together members from across Australia’s experimental and garage scenes. The band brings together vocalist DX (Daniel Stewart, known for work with Total Control and The UV Race) alongside collaborators spanning R.M.F.C., Den, and Gaud - forming a project rooted in both reinvention and collision.

Across ten tracks, Station Model Violence explores the anxieties and textures of contemporary life - from surveillance and digital unease to decay and fragile hope. Standout moments include the sprawling centrepiece “Heat,” the apocalyptic “Drip Away,” and the haunting closer “Falling Down,” which offers a flicker of resilience amid the noise.
Sonically, the band channels a lineage of post-punk and krautrock influences, citing a vision of “pastoral psychedelicism” as a guiding aesthetic - a tension between mechanical drive and organic atmosphere that pulses throughout the record.
They’ll bring the album to The Curtin stage for a dedicated launch show, supported by Sleeper and Snake, Spitting Image and Life Girl.Listen HERE
