THE DOUBLE AGENTS ’New Motion’ Album Launch

Melbourne/Naarm rockers The Double Agents are proud to launch their third album ‘New Motion’ at the Curtin Hotel on Saturday 13 July, joined by pals Dan Brodie & The Shadows Of Love and Cinco Savage.

New Motion, out June 21 on Yeah/Nah Records is a powerful new recording evoking directness and immediacy, marking their first release of new material in nearly two decades.

The Double Agents’ initial incarnation circa 2000 saw the quintet rise from humble stages to becoming one of Melbourne’s most revered pub rock bands. They toured Europe and shared the stage with iconic luminaries Dead Moon, Mudhoney, Celibate Rifles, The White Stripes and The Black Keys before an amicable hiatus in 2008.

In 2023 the band returned after 16 years with a self-released curated career compilation on vinyl, headlined their own sold-out album launch and supported old pals Mudhoney and the Scientists. 2024 has kicked off with a couple of cracking support slots with Drive-By Truckers and The Hold Steady in anticipation of the release of New Motion.
