Ferocious and frenetic post-punks Favoured State are coming to the Curtin Front Bar to launch their latest single “Liminal Suppression”, the first single from their sophomore EP set to be released in September. Having recently released new music in the form of the Double A-Side “Everything’s Fine”, the band are not resting on their laurels, instead pushing ahead with even more blistering tracks.
“Liminal Suppression” critically reflects on the intersection of technology, censorship, surveillance, and control in the modern digital world. While there is an illusion of freedom, there is a clear tension between autonomy and control, individuality and conformity - products of our “electric cities” in a hyperconnected age.
