BODY MAINTENANCE - 'FAR FROM HERE' ALBUM LAUNCH

Naarm/Melbourne post-punkers Body Maintenance return to The Curtin to celebrate the release of their second album Far From Here. The band’s latest offering continues to draw on the classic 1980s UK goth motifs which are littered throughout the band’s previous records, while maintaining an overarching pop sensibility. An ill-lit tension poised between releases of ethereal delicacy in the style of The Chameleons, Echo and the Bunnymen and The Comsat Angels. Bleak, yet comforting trench coat music that attempts to provide solace in a dark and turbulent world. 

Joined on the night by fellow post-punk quartet Promaja, performing songs from their flawless debut Bravo Brava, Anarcho punk purists Vampire, fresh off the back of their UK and European tour and Glass whose DIY post-punk/jangle pop reverberations are not to be missed.
